Description
Over the last year, Chicago saxophonist Dudley Owens and New York bassist Aaron Immanuel Wright conceptualized a new project featuring their modern compositions executed with strong old-school" sonic qualities. The music ranges from soulful ballads such as Wright's "Magnolia" to "Book of Revelations," a burning, apocalyptic, modal exploration that makes full use of the quintet with drummer Clif Wallace, Willerm Delisfort on piano and Justin Stanton on trumpet. Dudley Owens will be one of the jazz greats." - Donald Harrison Tracks: 1. R.O. 2. People Calling 3. Elijah 4. Jovan 5. Calling for Casey 6. Book of Revelations 7. Magnolia 8. Tremble 9. Prayer."
