Description
18-year old Rose Kemp is the antithesis of the made-for-TV pop-star, a young artist who's not only a superb singer, but who also writes original material that combines pop sensibility with intelligence and lyrical depth. Glance is an album of many shades, drawing on pop and indie with a contemporary edge as well as blues and jazz influences. With her rich, husky vocals, Rose spins confessional tales of life, love and longing, ranging from the simplicity and emotional directness of opening track Falls, through the lyrically dexterous & uplifting pop of Smile to the unhinged blues of Conscience.
