Description
Until Then" is a gospel record by The Blackwood Brothers, featuring a mix of traditional hymns, contemporary Christian music, and original compositions. The Blackwood Brothers were one of the most influential and beloved gospel quartets of the 20th century. Formed in 1934 in Choctaw County, Mississippi, the group consisted of brothers Roy, Doyle, James, and Roy's son, R.W. Blackwood. Over the years, the quartet went through several lineup changes, but the Blackwood name remained synonymous with excellence in gospel music. The group achieved great success in the 1950s and 60s, with hits such as "The Old Country Church," "How Great Thou Art," and "Swing Down Chariot." Their music remains characterized by rich harmonies, powerful vocals, and a passion for spreading the gospel message."
