Description
Andalusia, Alabama is famous for two things: Hank Williams got married at the Andalusia Texaco, and it was in Andalusia that a fella named Jess Dixon built a flying car... that's about it. Now a third notable event can be added to that history: It is the birthplace of Rochelle Harper. Rochelle's first nationally released album, Lilt is set to be released this Fall on Moonwatcher Records. Chock full of performances from acclaimed musicians like Randall Bramblett (Steve Winwood/ Widespread Panic), Sean O'Bryan Smith (Lady Antebellum/ Billy Joel), Blair Shotts (The Roots/ Rhianna), Jeff Franzel (Shawn Colvin/Dianne Ree Reeves) and produced by acclaimed RCA Victor guitarist/producer Joe Taylor, this album promises to deliver to the wider world that charismatic, dynamic experience that is Rochelle Harper. As her many fans along the Gulf Coast already know, Rochelle weaves a tale in the best tradition of the great Southern storytellers, while delivering it with the same fire and grace as Lucinda and Emmylou.
