Description
2012 release, the fourth album from S. de la Moth and Geneviève AKA Menace Ruine. Alight in Ashes marks a return to the melodic sounds last heard on 2008's the Die Is Cast. With their first release for Profound Lore, the band delivers their most intriguing, unnerving and spellbinding recording to date-a meticulously crafted work that recalls Burzum's Filosofem, Merzbow, Nico and the Moon Lay Hidden Beneath a Cloud. Geneviève's powerful, haunting vocals weave into the dark, trance-inducing music to cast a spell of elegant, apocalyptic beauty.
