Description
Drift" (1995) by Flotsam and Jetsam sees the band refining their sound without losing their edge. Moving beyond pure thrash, the band blends heavy riffs with melodic hooks and a darker, more atmospheric approach. The result is a dynamic album that balances aggression with strong songwriting and memorable choruses. Tracks like "Smoked Out" and "12 Year Old with a Gun" showcase both intensity and depth, highlighting the band's versatility. A powerful and underrated release, "Drift" stands as a key mid-'90s metal album, bridging classic thrash with a more contemporary, groove-driven sound."
