Description
When one reviews all the great piano works between Beethoven's late sonatas and the impressionistic cycles of Maurice Ravel and Claude Debussy, Modest Mussorgsky's Pictures At An Exhibition claims a special status. Josef Suk's Piano Pieces, op. 7 six late-romantic, tonal miniatures, complete the CD. Yuko Yamashiro studied piano in her native Japan and at the prestigious Hanns Eisler conservatory in Berlin, Germany before returning to Japan to assume a professorial role at Tottori Univ. In Yonago. A sought-after soloist, Ms. Yamashiro gives regular recitals in Japan and Europe.
