New breed r&b / various

24 track compilation features major label songs from 1962-69. The focus here is mainly '60s recordings that were often neglected by blues fans, as they sometimes had strings or female backing vocals, or just weren't purist enough. Features Little Joe Hinton, Big Mama Thornton, B.B. King, King Solomon, the Newports, Jackie Shane, Marvin & Johnny, Larry Davis, Jimmy McCracklin, Lowell Fulsom, Ike & Tina Turner, Al King, ZZ Hill & others.
