Description
'Pure pop for now people from the City of Angels. As sumptuous as some of your fave BADFINGER songs, with a singer more reminiscent of DWIGHT TWILLEY. Feels like a cool breeze caressing my cheek from 1975, a time of blissful ignorance and silly simplicity, blowing a promise of hopeful things to come... SOUNDS LIKE: SUFJAN STEVENS, ELLIOTT SMITH, WAXWINGS SUGGESTED TRACKS: 3 Stanley Waited" (acoustic folk-pop bliss) 9 "Andy'N'Me" (slow and surprisingly emotional)' --Russel Forster, Pirate Cat Radio. ==================================== All songs written & recorded by J. Lopez at Habib's Room Studios, West Covina, CA, except "This Space is MySpace," music by Woody Guthrie. Most songs recorded between 6/05 - 12/05. Mastered at Casa de Lopez, West Covina, CA, 10/09. Original text from "The Work of Art in the Age of Mechanical Reproduction" by Walter Benjamin, 1935. Translated from the German by Andy Blunden. All instruments/vocals by J. Lopez, except additional chorus vocals on "Andy'n Me" by Sergio Lopez. For more information on this recording, please visit sofacitysweetheart.com. © 2010 by J. Lopez.
