Description
Paul Desmond's saxophone style was cool, subtle and often romantic. This fit well with the guitar style of Jim Hall, and from 1959 to 1965 they made a wonderful series of albums together, among them Take Ten, presented here in it's entirety, which focuses of bossa nova-like tunes. The title tune follows the path of Desmond's celebrated composition "Take Five", which he had recorded with the Dave Brubeck Quartet on the iconic Time Out LP.
