Description
On this their fifth CD release, award winning duo Alasdair Fraser & Natalie Haas roam far and wide across the North Atlantic - from Scotland to Scandinavia, France, and Spain and beyond. Going back to the roots of their first CD Fire & Grace (winner of the Scots Trad Album of the Year award), the duo displays their hallmark fiddle/cello arrangements of old classics and new compositions. From the raw power of wild dance tunes to modern, quasi-chamber arrangements, their music takes us on a journey around the world of the fiddle and displays the energy and nuance they have been thrilling audiences with for almost 20 years. Fraser & Haas' deep respect for the diversity of traditional musical languages and the importance of the groove are ever present. Fiddle and Cello at it's state-of-the-art best!
