Description
During the course of his professional career, Mike Cain has performed with many jazz artists and emerged upon the international jazz scene as an exciting talent. The idea of doing a trio record with piano, bass and drums had long been a desire of the pianist so this recording, originally released in 1991, with Anthony Cox (bass), Marvin Smitty" Smith (drums) and Paul Hannah (percussion) was a chance for him to fulfill this desire. Here they interact with each other and experiment on Cain's eight originals with compromising coherence and form."
