No limit 2 luv - baby pink

Baby Pink Vinyl. In a fusion of power pop greatness, punk energy and grooving riffs, Rex Tycoon's debut full-length No Limit 2 Luv (Smartpunk Records) shows off what makes the band so special. Bursting to life with "Rock 'N Roll Star," No Limit 2 Luv kicks off feeling stadium huge while lyrically professing a humble reality, the sound manifesting the kind of rock 'n' roll stardom this album deserves. Over the course of ten songs Rex Tycoon conjures the energy of beer-soaked basement parties as well as meandering, soul searching drives. It's eclectic but consistent, showing the band's flexibility and unique stylistic foundation. Guitarist and vocalist Austin Reesman's knack for storytelling reaches it's pinnacle with the album closer "Jesus Drives," a bluesy, straight ahead rocker that relays the reality and drudgery of the working class people doing their best to survive under untenable circumstances.
