Description
Prominent examples abound, and have done so for millennia - from Orpheus in ancient mythology to the troubadours of the Middle Ages to numerous stars of our day: playing an instrument to accompany oneself while singing is one of the oldest forms of performance. Niklas Trustedt takes us on a journey through these songs, from Tobias Hume, to Mauchaut, to Brahms, and Kreger. Trustedt also includes an original composition. Niklas Trustedt is a renowned string player specializing in early instruments. He is based in and teaches in Berlin.
