Description
There is no groovier or funkier soundthan the B-3 Hammond organ. If any instrument deserves a tribute on it's 70th birthday, it's the Hammond. Rather thantry for a complete cross-section of Hammondmeisters, we've opted to showcase the instrument in the hands of 1960sBritish rock bands, when it really came into it's own. And so here are some of the very, very best examples of ORGANizingplayed by some of the UK's top practitioners. You might not know every name or every song, but you can beassured that they represent the best and most innovative and most funky organ sounds you've ever heard in one placeat one time! Instrumental tracks include: Spencer Davis Group (with Stevie Winwood), Stevie's Groove; Brian Auger's Ellis Island;Manfred Mann's One Way; Georgie Fame's The In- Crowd; Ten Years After's Adventures Of A Young Organ; AlanPrice's Critics Choice; Free's rare Guy Stevens Blues; Steampacket's Holy Smoke; The Small Faces' Grow YourOwn, The Nice's Sombrero Sam, and many others.
