Beth Elsden - Where It All Started

Beth popped into the shop and shared a few of the sounds and influences that stuck with her over the years.

She grew up writing songs, performing in local productions and busking on the street, before studying at the University of Otago, where she met collaborator and producer Abby Wolfe, who encouraged her to start recording. Drawing on her musical theatre and choral background, Beth leans into rich harmonies, vocal layers and dramatic melodies, crafting music that sits comfortably alongside Taylor Swift, Gracie Abrams, Lizzy McAlpine, Maisie Peters, and Gretta Ray.
